This story and inspiration booklet is one of the many results of the European project Collections of Ghent. You can read how we set to work in various Ghent neighbourhoods to discover stories of Ghentians who crossed our path. We would like to take you on the adventure that this project was for us. A beautiful but bumpy journey, started in challenging times. With a covid pandemic, an energy crisis, a crisis in Ukraine, and a disaster in Turkey.
Eurocities Awards nomination
The innovative approach has seen Collections of Ghent recognised internationally as a shortlisted best practice for the Eurocities Awards.
Cocreation Fund: 13 selected projects
District09 and the City of Ghent are pleased to be able to distribute 200,000 euros to 13 projects retained within the Cocrecreation Fund of Collections of Ghent.
Launching the Cultural Data Lab
The Cultural Data Lab is a physical hub in De Krook library, forming a connection between the project partners as well as the cultural community. With this datalab, we want to enable collaborations in an open space for technology testing.
3 inspiring neighbourhoods for CoGent
In 2022 the mobile immersive space, CoGent, will go on tour in 3 different neighbourhoods of Ghent: Wondelgem, Sluizeken-Tolhuis-Ham and Watersportbaan-Ekkergem.
Kick-off event December 16th 2020
On december 16th we launched the project for a wider audience with a kick-off event. Several project managers gave an update of the project planning and the work done in the past months.
